Interview with Fiona Hammond - Director of Digital Solutions

1. Can you briefly introduce yourself and your role?

I'm Fiona, and I'm stepping into the role of Director of Digital Solutions at Navigator. I started my career in clinical oncology and have spent the past 15-plus years working across frontline care, digital health, patient support programs, and enterprise delivery. At Navigator, I'll be focused on optimising our digital tools to effectively support people recovering from injury or managing chronic conditions- working alongside the clinical teams and customers to deliver programs that meet the needs of individuals and drive measurable outcomes.

2. What part of your work are you most proud of?

Knowing that what we build actually gets used and that it makes a real difference in the 99% of the time people spend away from their treating team. Coming from a clinical background, I've seen firsthand how hard it can be for people to stay on track and be provided support when they need it, empowering people to self manage conditions and recovery is key to driving outcomes. At Perx, we helped over 50,000 members stay engaged with their recovery and health management, backed by clinical evidence and strong data-driven results. Being part of bridging the gap between clinical intent and what people actually experience day-to-day- is what I'm most proud of.

 3. What are you most excited about as Perx and Navigator come together?

As a clinician at heart, this merger is really exciting for me. Navigator brings deep clinical expertise and a trusted recovery network across personal injury and workers' compensation. Perx brings the digital engagement layer that keeps people motivated every single day. Combining those means we can offer something that's both clinically led and digitally supported which is how healthcare should work. What happens in the time away from your treating team is why Perx was built, but having the guidance and experience of clinical experts to shape those interventions is what makes it truly effective. In my new role, I get to sit right at that intersection making sure our digital programs genuinely meet the needs of the people we serve and the customers we partner with, which makes me very excited.
